The new 1985 L98 added tuned-port fuel injection "TPI", which produced 230 hp and 330 ft·lbf. It was standard on all 1985-1991 Corvettes (rated at 230-250 hp and 330-350ft·lbf torque). Optional on 87-92 Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird models (rated at 225-245 hp and 330-345ft·lbf torque) 1987 versions had 10 hp and 15 ft·lbf more thanks to 9.5:1 compression. Compression was up again in 1991 to 10:1 but output stayed the same.</div>Imadude1134
