In 2002 on the end of the 4th gen production 69 ZL1 Camaro's were built at GMMG
 
"All 69 cars were B4C coupes with 6-speed manual transmissions except for 2 converted to automatic. Built in March 2002 Roll cages were installed in 28 cars. Three prototypes were: #1-Chevrolet Motor Division #2-Berger Chevrolet and #3-Helen Gibb. Car #1 was built to commemorate Fred Gibbs original ZL1 drag car. Car #69 was a special Phase 4 SR427 built to honor Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins and his ZL1 drag car. 1969 style houndstooth interior was made available and Penske Shocks with 3 different valving options were also available. The 2002 ZL1 was also made available with Z06 style wheels standard or optional Crager SS or Fiske wheels. "
